Background

Picking up a Needlecrafts book back in middle school that was part of my mom’s book collection was the first thing that inspired me. I really took an interest in a rectangular fair isle knit purse; and that sparked me to want to learn how to knit. It probably took longer to obtain some knitting needles and a bit of yarn….but with a few beginning instructions from that very book and a little bit of help from Knitting Forums, I was off knitting my first project! Of course, it was not that bag. There was no way that was a beginner’s project. I started off with a heart. Then an M&M dishcloth. It was like second nature to me. Knitting furiously grew with intensity with me in the next few years, and it became a great creative outlet for me. I enjoyed having the skill and becoming such a master at it. It provided me with a unique desirable craft skill that is hard to find; and I really found that it was one way for me to keep my hands moving and creating things. I love knitting to this day many years later and hope to continue my endeavors of creating lovely handmade items!
